How to get to your Carnival Hostel in Rio

From the airport/bus station:

For the cheapest transport (less than $10BR), take the REAL bus company (blue bus) to Botafogo, Copacabana, or Ipanema. This will take about an hour from the airport. Less time from the bus station. Locals refer to it as "Fresco". Show the driver your hostel's address and ask them to drop you off in the neighborhood where you are staying.

You can also take a taxi from outside the airport. This will be much more expensive (about $80BR), but if you can't wait to get to your Carnival hostel in Rio de Janeiro, then look for ones at the airport. They also take payment in advance with your credit card if that is all you have.
